Slate - warm tones of grey/brown

Spun and dyed by hand, this beautiful 2-ply yarn is made from 100% wool sourced from a Jacobs fleece. The slate grey/brown colour is created when the cream/brown/ black fleece is carded.

Each skein is unique, carrying the character of the fleece and the care of the maker. Gauge fluctuates between Chunky/Aran as is inherent with most hand made wool.  Perfect for knitting, weaving or crochet projects where you want something truly special.

As with all hand-dyed yarns, slight variation in colour between skeins is part of their natural charm. We recommend purchasing all skeins for a project at the same time.
